Our local hills, the Lomonds, are a favourite subject of mine.  They're just as beautiful in winter as in summer.  The inspiration behind this painting was a picture taken by friend Mike one late winter afternoon, where the setting sun glowed orange and pink on the frost-covered fields and hills.
