I've had many a happy day walking up the glorious Glen Sannox on the Isle of Arran.  Our visits tend to be in autumn, so we are often treated to the sound of the bellowing stags in the surrounding hills, but they are very hard to spot.  Braver hill walkers than me can climb the cliffs at the end of the glen to continue on to Goat Fell, but I'm content to wander back down and scoff a scone at the golf club tea-room!
